Full Press Launches “Design Your Own T-Shirt” Service Online
Posted: March 24, 2010  inPress Releases

(Tallahassee, FL, March 24, 2010) Full Press Apparel, a Tallahassee based T-shirt design and print shop announces the launch of an innovative, online service. The feature is easily accessed through the Full Press website home page: www.fullpressapparel.comand allows visitors to create their own T-shirt designs with user-friendly, digital tools.

Tracey Shrine, co-owner of Full Press realized that many college students from local universities Florida State, Florida A&M and the community college TCC, wanted assistance in creating their own T-shirt designs. She challenged her staff and web designers to come up with a way to implement the process through the Full Press website. The service went through several weeks of testing but is now live and available to the public.

Although not new to the industry on a national basis, Full Press is the only local company to offer this service. “This is simple and fun! We’ve gotten numerous hits since we went online to test the application.” Tracey commented. “The college student population has asked for it and we’re the first and only local apparel company that offers it” commented Danny Shrine owner and founder of Full Press Apparel.

“Students are amazed at the ease of use and are taking advantage of the new service.” says, Heather Kellermeier, a Full Press sales representative since 2007. “My clients are mostly students and they absolutely love it.”

Full Press Apparel was founded in 1997 by Danny Shrine, an experienced screen printer from Jacksonville, Florida. Initially, the large Tallahassee collegiate population’s hunger for custom T-shirts and promotional items fueled a thriving printing business for Full Press. The company since then has been serving the area’s uniform and apparel needs for many local and regional businesses, associations, state agencies and non-profit organizations.

Mr. Shrine’s entrepreneurial instincts directed him to locate his printing business conveniently within walking distance of the both universities and just minutes from the community college and Tallahassee’s downtown district at 645 West Gaines Street. Danny and Tracey Shrine are partners in business and family and reside in Tallahassee with their two children. They are currently active in many Tallahassee service and civic organizations, including the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, Tallahassee Sunrise Rotary, Junior Achievement and Junior League of Tallahassee.

Full Press Apparel Launches In-House Embroidery Service
Posted: May 9, 2009  inPress Releases

(Tallahassee, FL, May 9, 2008) Full Press Apparel, a custom apparel printing company announces the launch of their in-house embroidery service. With the purchase of a SWF, dual function, 6-head embroidery machine manned by a two-person embroidery department, Full Press will now offer expanded services to serve the growing uniform and apparel needs in Florida’s capital city, Tallahassee.

Danny Shrine, owner and founder of Full Press commented, “Although we have offered embroidery services since our beginnings, we were forced to outsource. We realized that by developing our own embroidery department complete with hi-tech equipment and a trained staff we would be able to offer a faster manufacturing process. To most of our customers this new service will be a seamless transition but some may notice a faster turnaround.

“Now we can quality control the complicated process of turning a logo or emblem into a stitched piece of art that is wearable!” Tracey Shrine, co-owner of Full Press explained. She also added, “Further, this will enable us to offer a consistent level of superior craftsmanship that we will oversee directly.

The printing company’s customer base of businesses, state agencies, college and non-profit organizations will benefit by the state-of-the-art, embroidery production scheduled to go online within a few days. The complicated sewing machine, able to make 1000 stitches per minute was delivered on May 6 and was up and running for testing within 24 hours.

“It is now humming along and moving at top speed!” answered Delana Buzbee, the newly-hired, Full Press technician when asked about the new machine she will be operating. She added, “ We can sew on anything from car covers to bags with up to 15 different colored threads in one design.”

The process of embroidery on fabric involves a three-step process. First a customer’s logo is (1) digitized, which is the computerized process of converting to a file that tells the machine where and what colors to stitch. Next is a “proof” which is called a (2) sew-out. At this stage the customer can see how their logo translates to stitches. (3) Last, the sewing machine is set up to handle the quantities of fabric ordered and each item stitched to the standard of the approved sew-out.
