So, what do you think?
Our chief T-shirt designer for Full Press, Brandi Goodman has been extraordinarily busy this week with 30 new T-shirt designs under her belt! Her average is anywhere from 5-8 new designs a day, which in the world of art is a phenomenal achievement.

Brandi has been with FPA for three years and is accustomed to tight deadlines. She has been in the silk screening industry for eleven years; worked in several print shops and added with intensity, “I had my eye on working with Danny at Full Press as soon as I graduated from TCC.”
She has finally found a home amongst like-minded T-shirt aficionados.
When asked who has inspired you the most? She commented, “My high school print shop teacher, Eric Crozier. He taught me the basics of screen printing and gave me the confidence and resources to get out there in the silk screen industry. I haven’t looked back since.”
Brandi follows trends in the industry and has voiced her opinions about the future, “The 80’s retro designs are definitely coming back around along with neon, loud obnoxious text, big text prints, sci-fi designs and geometric patterns.” FPA clients have found Brandi to be adept at any style she is asked to do and her portfolio is rich with highly rated designs. By touring the FPA “Wall of Fame” you can see her work proudly displayed in our gallery on Gaines.
Anyone talking to Brandi can quickly determine that she is passionate about her work. When asked about why she choose this field she said, “Karl Marx once talked about how a part of your soul goes into the craft that you make, whether its t-shirts, furniture, art, or any other thing that can be handmade. That phrase always stuck with me, because that’s how I feel about designing and printing t-shirts.
I like the idea of people walking around with a part of me on their body (haha). Seriously though, I just get a feeling of satisfaction when I design something and a customer says “I love it!” or when I’m pulling a squeegee. It just makes me happy.”
That’s what it’s all about at Full Press.
Do what you love to do and do it with all your heart!
Answer: Do golf and shirts go together like peanut butter and jelly?
Professional and amateurs golfers wear shirts don’t they? Most with some very significant brands, (hopefully made obvious to fans) backed with a large
merchandizing budget.
Everyone knows Danny Shrine’s passion for printing custom shirts but do you know about his hidden zeal for the game of golf?
Yes, golf fans. He is an avid golfer and makes it his after hours business to unwind on his favorite course as often as possible.
The Master’s Golf Tournament in Augusta, Georgia this weekend sparked a few lively discussions in the office as customers and staff commented about the televised event. In between production updates and proofs crossing his desk, Danny watched the tournament online.
Tiger Woods was mentioned more than a few times, as the world’s eyes are upon his comeback, overshadowing the other lesser-known participants.
But what kind of shirt is he wearing? Now that is the question that the staff at FPA is pondering as they check out the cut, tailoring, weave and colors.
T-Shirts with skull designs are a popular theme on the Internet and in retail. Why? Haven’t figured that one out…human skulls are definitely something people like to wear and look at.
Let us know what you think about it … start an interesting dialogue.
Trees are another popular choice…symbolic and easy to guess the reason for their popularity. They can equate to life, growth, green things, life and a happy, favorite season of the year: Spring. Anything else?
Birds are everywhere you see T-shirts. Our feathered friends are extremely versatile and can appear cute or terrifying. What do they symbolize? Freedom?
Splatter or grudge is an effect that is used for the majority of t-shirt designs. It came around in the nineties and is here to stay. It is used in combination with realism and retro graphic styles. It is also used liberally with type, illustration and photographs equally.
Is anyone tired of this yet? I don’t think so.
Vintage designs on T-shirts are another popular trend. Nostalgic images from the sixties, seventies, eighties and nineties are always popping up. Pick your favorite decade and ask yourself why?
This is a fun way to reinvent graphic styles of the past.
Floral flourishes is another popular component of T-shirt design and throughout textile and graphic design in general. The ornate and meandering curves usually borders or provides a background and is popular for men and women “wearables” alike.
Anyone notice this trend? Re-awakening of Art-nouveau?
