Want Everyone to Wear Your Event T-shirts?
Posted: June 29, 2011  inLatest News

Then do this: Consider what appeals to the broadest range of people who may attend your event. You may know your market demographics but do you know the style of T-shirt they may want to wear again and again? Use (to your advantage) the skills of a seasoned graphic artist. Their eye for complimentary colors, graphic trends and style will prove to be invaluable. Design your event T-shirt with careful marketing research and professional advice.

Make this a goal: If your shirts are strategically well-designed and spectacularly printed with well-chosen, printing techniques they will be VALUED AS COLLECTIBLE by your attendees and guests.

Event attendees are often T-shirt collectors. They enjoy finding the most interesting, unique and creative t-shirts. They will not only buy for their personal collection but wear your shirt as an advertisement for your next annual event. Each and every time it is worn it becomes a visual recommendation. They may also vocally recommend your event to friends as the shirt becomes a topic of conversation. (and perhaps even to a passerby)

Do you have a favorite event shirt that you are still wearing after many years? Write us and tell us about it.

Do you host or organize annual events? If you need a memorable event shirt we have a graphic design department with award-winning designers. We specialize in custom T-shirts for all kinds of events including music, food, sports, art, film and holiday festivals!

Our Embroidery Department Shines!

Here’s a candid shot of our embroidery department in production. These guys really shine at their work! (See the light rays from above on every stitch?)

Embroidery has wide applications for businesses, individuals and organizations and provides a beautiful way to display an insignia. Monogramming also makes a simple gift personal and unique. This elegant touch can be added to lunch bags, beach towels, coolers, blankets and all kinds of apparel.

Personal initials enable individuals to establish with certainty the ownership of childhood items or clothing. They also look classy on wedding linens or anniversary gifts. And, in the business world, the fine craft of embroidery or monogramming on hats, scarves or shirts creates a professionally successful appearance for executives.

If you need something embroidered or monogrammed please give us a call at 850.222.1003. Or come by our shop on West Gaines. We’ll make sure your project looks distinctively divine!

The Importance of Using A Greek Licensed Printer
Posted: June 21, 2011  inLatest News

Time to start thinking about custom printing sorority or fraternity branded items before the frenzy of activity begins with the fall college semester. So what are the choices if you are a T-shirt chairperson? You may be bombarded with salespeople from local or national printers; however, we urge you to stop and consider:

Just like State Universities, Greek trademarks are registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Each national organization has gone to great lengths to protect the integrity and ownership of their identity including their crests, coats-of-arms, organization name and Greek letters as well as any other insignia specific to the organization. Please note: For all Collegiate Greek Letter Organizations, the actual National or International organization holds exclusive trademark rights and not an individual member or chapter within the Fraternity or Sorority.

All custom Greek shirt designs you create must be submitted for approval through an official Greek Licensed Printer to Affinity Marketing Consultants, an independent organization in charge of administering the use of fraternity and sorority trademarks. “Trademark law clearly establishes Greek organizations’ rights to protect their marks and ensure that products and services that contain their insignia meet fundamental quality standards,” said Dan Shaver, president of Affinity Marketing Consultants, Inc.

To date, over 60 national and international Greek-letter organizations, representing over 5.5 million households, proactively manage comprehensive licensing programs that grant companies approval to use their trademarks on high-quality and appropriate products and services. To learn whether or not your organization participates in this program visit www.GreekLicensing.com.

At Full Press Apparel, we are proud to be among the list of approved vendors who are Greek Licensed. We have exclusive rights locally to print Greek designs for a majority of Florida State University’s Greek organizations! If you are in charge of ordering, make sure you order from a licensed vendor because only licensed vendors are legally allowed to print items with your organization’s trademarks. Your national organization has authorized your FSU chapter to use Full Press Apparel locally, because they know we will fairly represent your organization, adhere to strict quality guidelines, and also offer you competitive market prices.

Going through an online or local non-licensed screen printer can have ugly consequences. (You don’t want to get in trouble with your national headquarters.) To make sure you are choosing the right company, always look for the Greek Licensed logo (shown up top) that Full Press proudly displays in our lobby and on our marketing materials.
