The Governor’s Fitness Challenge
Posted: August 18, 2010  inLatest News

Fitness is a big deal here at Full Press.

Florida’s governor, Charlie Crist, launched a program in 2007 named, The Governor’s Fitness Challenge. The program was based on recommendations from the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness for elementery and middle schools through out the state of Florida.

Since its inception more than 245,000 students in over 500 elementary and middle schools have participated. Schools have the chance to win rewards and recognition. In 2009 eight schools won $5,000 each and seven schools won $2,500 each.

Each year Full Press has been asked to print T-shirts which are distributed to the winners as added recognition. This year was no exception as we printed 1500 shirts for the organizers of the Fitness Challenge.

Recently we received a glowing review from the Executive Assistant to the President and Office Manager of Florida’s Foundation, Frances Rhodes. She wrote, “We wouldn’t trust our tee shirt needs to anyone else!!”

Thank you, Frances for that vote of confidence as all of us at Full Press look forward to promoting fitness with you!

The mission of the nonprofit organization, Florida’s Foundation is to strengthen Florida by making positive changes in the lives of Florida’s families through initiatives developed under the leadership of the State of Florida and its citizens.

Full Press applauds all their efforts and wholeheartedly supports their list of worthy causes. For more information about the organization please visit their website: www.floridasfoundation.org. For more information about the Fitness Challenge please visit: www.governorsfitnesschallenge.com.
